Proposed Development in Waddesdon

Greencore Homes has recently acquired the development site in Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire. The site has outline planning permission for up to 75 new homes, and we are now preparing detailed plans which we would like to progress with help and support from the community.

As new custodians of the land, Greencore are committed to designing a development that responds sensitively to the local area while delivering much-needed, high-quality homes.

About the Site

The land is located close to Waddesdon Manor, with excellent transport links, local amenities, and access to Aylesbury Vale Parkway station via a countryside cycleway. The development is expected to provide homes suitable for a wide range of people, from families and first-time buyers to downsizers and young professionals.

Our Approach

• Low carbon construction: Our homes are built using a closed timber frame panel system insulated with natural materials such as hemp, lime and wood fibre. The structure of each home locks up more carbon than it emits.

• Energy efficiency: Designed to achieve Passivhaus standards, homes have very low energy demand, excellent air quality, and a net zero energy balance in occupation.

• Fast and efficient build: Off-site manufactured panels are assembled on site quickly, reducing disruption to neighbours.

• Landscape-led design: We work closely with ecologists, landscape architects and local planners to protect and enhance biodiversity.
